Tantrum # 1
"My Word/Excel file is to be converted into Pdf formats all exercises with Pdf forms delete/split/edit and what not"
Follow these instructions:
- Download Pdf995 converter
- How to download -go to http://www.pdf995.com/
- Install the software
- Choose the file to convert excel/word etc
- Open the file - make sure about the print area/select the area to be printed/for this use View from menu and select page break preview/insert grid lines where needed etc.
- Open the file menu
- Choose Print
- In the print window - Select from the scroll bar showing the list of printers - Pdf995
- Click OK
- Give a file name at the required destination
- Click OK
- To open the file it must be noted that in default it stores the file here >>C:>>Program Files>>Pdf995 folder

Recommended, compiled and contributed by Mr.Krishnan V I would like to add something which I had already mentioned in another forum. " I am sure all of you are aware that the Annual efiling documents can be filed by just typing "Sd./-" ( with the Individuals name below it) in the basic electronic document (word/excel etc.,) and then converting these to pdf for attaching to Forms 23AC/ACA for uploading. This greatly reduces the attachment sizes as compared to a printed, signed and then scanned document. However many people prefer scanning and attaching the accounts because, most often the Audit Report, Directors' Report etc., are in a word processor format and the Accounts are in a spreadsheet format and it is dfiicult to sort the pages, arrange and merge them into a single pdf document for attaching to Form 23AC/ACA unless one had the very costly Adobe Acrobat software installed or use the old commandline free program 'pdftk' (which is difficult and cumbersome to use). Now there is a free windows alternative- "PDFill PDF Tools Free" (5.3Mb) .This program can not only create PDFs but also reorder the pages/extract/merge etc., PDF Files. If you have the Audit Report, Notice of AGM and Directors Report in say, MS Word format and the Balance Sheet, Schedules,Part IV in MS Excel format, you can write 'Sd./-" in the signature places on these files against the relevant persons name, extract these documents separately as PDF files, rearrange the pages in the resultant pdf files in the way you want and then merge the pdf files for attaching to the relevant MCA Form. No fiddling with scanner and adjusting resolutions. (You can even add your firm's name as a watermark across the page in your audit report with this tool- :-) ). The software is free for personal or commercial use and freely distributable.
Notes:
- The program comes with a PDF Editor which is payware and puts the Company's name in any document edited with this editor, if not registered. But it is optional to use this editor and need not be used for the free tools to work.The "PDFill PDF Tools Free"software itself is advertisement free.
- The program requires ghostscript to be installed for it to work. If you already use any pdf printer driver, you probaly have ghostscript already installed. Can be easily checked through control panel>add/remove prgrams for ghostscript installation. The latest ghsotscript version is 8.54 and available at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=1897 The file you will require is gs854w32.exe (about 12.3Mb) under "AFPL Ghostscript". Install the fonts too.If you have an earlier version of ghostscript installed, you can uninstall that version and install the newer version.
- The program requires 'Adobe Reader' and 'Sun Jave JRE/MSJVM" to be already installed. I assume all the readers will already be having these.
- The program is available for W98Se as an executable and for W2K/XP as a installer file. Make sure you have windows installer 2.0 or later (Most people will already have this - you can check with add/remove programs list).
- If you already use any other pdf printer driver driver like 'cutepdf' or "primopdf' or "pdf creator", you can always uninstall them if you find this program useful. (Open printers in control panel, right click the unwanted pdf printer driver and choose 'uninstall')
- Do not be tempted to make use of this program and upload the files before you take the physical signatures in your copy. Make sure you really have the signed copy before uploading." As for 'ccleaner", the slim version is more than enough. This is a feature rich program with registry cleaner too, uninstaller etc., Just choose the custom install and set it to just open when double clicking. Also remember to turn off auto updates (Personally I uncheck 'autoupdates' in all programs I install..including adobe reader, JRE, IE etc.,). Contributed By Mr.Krishnan V

On Uploading-efiling-it shows " this option is disabled" "this option is temporarily unavailable" follow these instructions:
- This means the portal is fully loaded
- Try sometime in the late evening/early in the morning/during lunch hours
- Alternatively, you may go to the Certified Filing Centre in case of urgency of work

My pre-filling option doesn’t work anyway or when I click pre-fill button the system doesn’t generate the contents that can be pre-filled. Follow these instructions:
- You must have clicked the "do not allow", button when you first used this option --ahem a word of precaution - whenever you use the prefill button for the first time please allow you form to make contact with mca portal
- Now all you need to do is as follows
- Double click the Adobe Reader icon on your desktop
- Click Edit
- From the dropdown window click on preferences>>a preferences window opens
- Click on Trust Manager on the Left of the window and then look at the bottom of the right of the window
- You will now see PDF File Attachments box there 8.Make sure the check box besides "Allow documents to open other files and launch other applications" is checked
- Just below this box, you will find another box "Resource Access"
- Make sure the check box besides "Allow external Streams" is checked
- After you check this box click on "change site settings" button -ahem and nowhere else
- A new window opens "Managed Sites"
- In this window, you will find a message with "Default behaviour for URL access"
- Stare, have a good look at it “ahem only there”, and now click on the scroll bar
- Select "Always Allow", and then click ok and then again ok
- Buddy it is all rectified now >>open your eform and check again with the prefill button
- Its works fine now.

I have filled the form but I cannot open my attachment follow these instructions:
- Open the form
- At the bottom left corner, you will find 2 folder clips with names "Attachments" & "comments"
- Double click on "Attachments" choose the attachment you want to open

- Open Internet Explorer.

Internet Explorer Tools menu If you want to see pop-up windows from a specific Web site, type the address (or URL) of the site in the Address of Web site to allow box, and then click Add. Pop-up Blocker Settings window Tip To temporarily allow a site to display pop-ups, click the Information Bar when it notifies you that a pop-up has been blocked. Then click Temporarily Allow Pop-ups.
To block pop-ups even if they are launched when you click a link or button on a Web site :
- Open Internet Explorer.
- On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker Settings. 1.. Select the High setting in the box near the bottom of the dialog box. 2. Select the High setting in the box near the bottom of the dialog box. Note if you want to see, pop-ups that are blocked when you have this setting turned on, hold down the CTRL key while the window opens.

Payment Confirmation needs to be received: Follow these instructions:
- Wait for offline confirmation from ICICI Bank which means wait for a day or two for the message to change and to download the payment.
- If afterwards efiling is rejected, do the filing again.

Eventhough my form is right in all respects, and after loading it, it comes out of the window and gives an error message, and at the same times asks us to try to upload it again and again without even generating challan. Dear o dear, you are in a mess, the problem exists in the form itself, since you got panicked and try to check the form, modify the form, prescruitinize it again and again, the files size has increased even though you may not noticed it, and even though the file is within the loading capacity. Please follow these following instructions: Download a new form and cut copy and paste all the fields in the new form from the old form and the try to upload the new form. There after the result that you would see is such a relief. Hope you are cool now aren't you

When i check for the transaction status the error window comes up with a message "You are not authorized to view this" My-o-my you must have checked the transaction status either without loging in, or loging in as another user, or you must be checking the transaction status with a wrong option, Please note that there are more than one place where we can get confused with while we want to see whether the forms filed is approved. Do utilize the correct option or experiment with one option at a time to check it out.

My net speed is too slow to work with, its better i switch off Well Dudes there seems that you are not cleaning your laundry after usings i mean -- internet explorer. We all must make it a habbit to clean the internet explorer everytime after use/of everyday before closing off the system and calling it a day. Follow these instructions:
- Open Internet Explorer -- Double click the internet explorer
- On the browser window on the menu bar you'll find -Tools - click on it
- A drop down box opens there you'll find -Internet Options- click on it
- There you will find several tabs-General-security-Privacy-Contents-connections-Programs-Advanced.
- Click on General tab -(it is default open)
- In the second row you'll find buttons -Delete cookies- delete files
- First click on -Delete Cookies- button-it will ask for a confimation message- click yes.
- Now then click on -Delete Files- button-It will ask for a confirmation message- in which there is a check box asking the user for deleting ofline files aswell- check the box- then click yes
- Then in the third row of the General Tab window you'll find -Clear History button- Click on it - System will ask for a confirmation message- click yes.
- Then Click on Content Tab-(You'll find on the top) -There on another window will be activated- on the new window you'll see at the third row-a button called - auto complete-click on it-then click on -clear Forms>>ok- clear passwords>>ok- and then click -ok
- At last Click on -ok on the main window Common yaar now you can use internet in a very fast mode You'll find that your browser has become faster. So, this is added motivation to use browser more- provided that you do the above excercise everyday- or even in between using internet through out the day. or before & after visiting say 2-3 sites You must remember that the above action will delete all the web pages previously browsed by the user- all the forms that the user might have filled (i.e., on the internet explorer address bar) along with the passwords which the user has been using on any web page. The user must remember that "the above instructions are to be followed strictly to prohibit others who might accidently use the user's system can automatically log in to email accounts of the user. So, it is better to do this operation to prevent others to peep into your internet usage. and at the same time to stop them from using your accounts.

- Save the form without cheking it
- Open the form again and not you'll see you can click on the type of employment
- Click suitably
- Now check the form
- PreScutinize it
- file it/upload it
- Mail me with more such problems

What the hell ……!! My attachment are increasing in size equivalent to Indias’ Population…..I wonder how to file Procedure to reduce the size of pdf documents:
Step 1- separate the documents to be scanned and order it serially
Step 2 - Now using your scanner scan appropriately saving each scanned with serial numbers viz., 1,2,3,……in ascending order
Step 3- Start Pdf995 software
Step 4 - Use the option in the software (combine)
Step 5- And in the arrange order window of the combine option , arrange the scanned pages individually in ascending order viz., 1.2.3,…..
Step 6 - Select ok and give the name of the combined s canned file and save.
Step 7 - Now buddies look at the size of the file……and to your amusement it will reduce/shrink to a single digit below 1 Mb Step 8 Holla !! I havedone it again………Appreciate mefor such an advise jus’ kiddin’

Tired doin’ Cntrl-X & Cntrl-V thing (Cut-Copy-Paste), from Old forms to New forms …!!! Zap is dude! The whole form fields can be copied from one form to another by following These simple steps: (Reminded by Mr.Ulhas…fizzed up!!) 1. Open the form (from which you want data to be copied). 2. Go to Documents Menu & Click on it (above the form) 3. Scroll down to >Forms>Export data from form>specify the file name 4. Open a baby form (blank new form) got to Documents Menu & Click it 5. Scroll down to >Forms>Export data to form>guide the system to the file (XML file) & Select Yep…the fields are chock-full Don’t forget to recheck
